Emergency Notifications

What is an Emergency Notification (FSU Alert)?

Under the Clery Act, every institution is required to immediately notify the campus community upon confirmation of a significant emergency or dangerous situation occurring on the campus that involves an immediate threat to the health or safety of students or employees. An “immediate” threat as used here includes an imminent or impending threat.

Configuring Alerts

By default, Fitchburg State Alert is configured to send notifications to your Fitchburg State University email but you can enter your mobile phone, land line, and additional email addresses yourself using RAVE.

You can access RAVE through login.akomegasjsu.com or login directly at alert.akomegasjsu.com using your Fitchburg State username and password (Falcon Key).

Receive emergency alerts while on campus

University guests can receive emergency SMS text notifications by texting FSUalert to 67283 or 226787 to enroll.

Please note, SMS TEXT message and data rates may apply. Text messages are sent on an as-needed basis. This service is provided per the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Text STOP to 67283 to cancel or HELP for tech support.

University constituents are encouraged to enroll through RAVE on login.akomegasjsu.com or at alert.akomegasjsu.com to receive full communications during an emergency alert. Users enrolled via the SMS opt-in system will not receive general university communications or class cancellation notifications.
